HERITAGE EDUCATION AS A TOOL FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: DEFINITION, FACTORS AND MODELLING.

Abstract
This paper shows the conceptual framework and the different phases of a research project based on the use of Heritage Education as a tool for Cultural Inclusion. Its main objective is the creation of models of inclusive education for formal education in the Spanish context using Heritage Education. Therefore, is an innovative approach of Heritage Education because is not intended to educate about the knowledge of Heritage or its value, but goes further, educating through Heritage to generate inclusive educational contexts in which cultural exclusion factors are minimized as much as possible. To do that, firstly it was necessary to define the fundamental concepts of project such as cultural exclusion and cultural inclusion and established the main factors of cultural exclusion through the knwoledge of experts involved in this area using the technique of focus groups as argued in the article. It also sets out what will be the second phase of the research project, it is to compare the results of the first phase of the project with the agents in which the project is addressed; students of third and fourth year of Secondary School in Spain, from three different geographical areas compiling a great variability and heterogeneity of profiles. It will bring great wealth for the subsequent design of strategies and teaching models of inclusive education.
