Abstract

The research presented is aimed at “Recognizing the conception that the different actors of the teaching-learning process (teachers, school directors, cultural manager, in charge of the cultural council) have on what is the heritage and its characteristics.” All this in order to establish a diagnosis about the conceptions of the different actors of the teaching-learning process and determine in this way if there is ambiguity, diversity or lack of depth in it, in order to recognize the state of teaching the In a methodology perspective, the use of the mixed method of research was chosen, with a non-probabilistic sample of 450 students of second cycle of basic education of the city of Valparaiso, distributed in the typology of dependence that Owns the country, plus 6 interviews to teachers and 6 to school directors.
In general terms, the data collected indicate that the speeches of teachers and school directors have a heritage and identity value and, on the other hand, cultural managers (in charge of the Culture Council and in charge of Museum) have a Holistic vision linked to the multi-dimensionality present in the concept. Diversity in terms of depth and conceptual description directly influences the conceptions of the stu-dents of the city.
