TEACHING AND LEARNING HISTORICAL TIME. A FAILING GRADE

Abstract

This article emphasizes about the need to teach and to learn the historical time in a systematic way in primary school and high school classrooms to make possible a truly comprehensive, useful and functional school history to our Young people. A history that enables them to interpret their world and to participate as active agents of social transformation. Of a proper learning of different temporal concepts will depend n not only the understanding of the historical contents developed greater success, but also to lay the foundations for the formation of historical thought, for the development of critical thinking and, ultimately, for the formation of the historical consciousness of our Young people. So, on the one hand, exposed the need to develop at all educational levels different time concepts and, on the other hand, presented concrete examples for teaching in the classroom.
