Abstract

In Santa Fe, Argentina, students of History must do uni-versity teaching practices. They are expected to construct and develop teaching proposals that are alternatives to the lectures that usually predominate at this level. To find out if this is the case, the planning, activities, materials and reflections produced by the practitioners and the observations made by the coordinating teachers were investigated. From a critical perspective it was sought to understand the meaning of them, to recognize the most relevant methodological aspects that grant an innovative character, the assumptions that sustain them, among other aspects. Beyond some continuities with the routines insti-tuted, the format of the classes of the practitioners manages to break with traditional conceptions of teaching focused on the exposition of the teacher from the use of different strategies and resources.
