THE NATURAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE IN THE HIGH SCHOOL STATE SUBJECTS

Abstract

The Ministry of Education of Mexico has implemented since 2009 the State Course which is offered during the first year of secondary education. This course is defined by each state based on the guidelines established by the Ministry, the needs and interests of students, and in relation to any of the four thematic areas: 1) History, Geography and/or cultural and nature heritage, 2) Environmental education for sustainability, 3) Strategies for students face and overcome problems and risk situations and, 4) Language and indigenous culture. The objective of this work is to characterize the state courses taught in the country under the theme of heritage; the first section focuses on work analyzing those assets that are taught theoretical and methodological perspectives that are implemented for the teaching of heritage in the eleven entities (Chiapas, Distrito Federal, Mexico, Michoacan, Morelos, Puebla, Queretaro, Tabasco, Veracruz, Yucatan and Zacatecas) that provide a program linked with this subject. Subsequently a more detailed analysis of the Cultural and natural heritage of Yucatan course with the intention of identify the strengths with which account and address the various educational resources that are taught analysis is done.
